About Heal Foods
One ingredient at a time
Heal Foods began with a narrow idea: make wellness foods that contain exactly what the front of the pack says, and nothing else. That rules out most of the shelf. It also makes the label short enough to actually read.
The first product is isabgol — pure psyllium husk, no sweetener, no orange flavour, no anti-caking agent. It sells on Amazon.in today in 100 g and 400 g, and it is the reason this site exists.
The second is black garlic. Whole bulbs, aged slowly in Rajasthan until they turn dark and sweet. It is barely known in India, which is exactly why we want to make it well.
The rule we work to
One ingredient, named on the front, and the same thing inside. When we add a product it has to pass that test first. If a second ingredient is needed to make the numbers work, the product does not get made.
It is a harder way to build a range. It is also the only claim we can make that nobody can argue with, because you can check it on the back of the box.
Where the isabgol comes from
Plantago ovata is a winter crop. It is sown after the monsoon across the dry districts of western Rajasthan and north Gujarat, and harvested in March. The seed is milled and the husk separated by grade. Nearly all of the world’s psyllium comes from this belt — and we are in the middle of it.
Who we are
Heal Foods is the brand. YKS Foods, founded by Yash Karan Singh, is the company behind it — manufacturing and packing from Sardarpura, Jodhpur.
